Hey There!

My name is Aurily Sandler and I’d like to welcome you here and congratulate you on taking the first step towards change.  First off let me tell you a little bit about me and what brought ME here!

My Story

From a very young age, I knew that I wanted to help people.  I wasn’t sure what that was going to look like in my adult life, but the goal was there.  I graduated S.U.N.Y Oneonta with a BS in psychology still not knowing where that would take me but the job hunt was on!  I found an incredible position in the garment industry and worked my way up to a point where I had a Midwest sales territory, was running the showroom, traveled to markets all over the country, and dealt with any company issues concerning customers, staff, manufacturing etc. my psychology training definitely came in handy!

After about 10 years I was married and pregnant with my first of 3 children.  I moved to the suburbs and decided to be a stay at home mother.  While doing this, I took night classes at Adelphi University towards my Masters in Social Work (MSW).  I did an internship at Seafield center (an outpatient drug and alcohol abuse program) and became pregnant with baby #2. Life moved quickly and my career took a back seat. There were now 3 small children under 6yrs old my mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and my husband and I went through a tumultuous divorce.

BUT I PERSEVERED!!

I met my second husband who was super supportive during an extremely stressful time. I went back to work volunteering at a children’s hospital in the pediatric oncology unit. I raised my children with good values and taught them through experience. They were shown what was “not ok” and unacceptable and how to navigate with grace and kindness. I got involved with various charitable organizations raising awareness as well as philanthropically I created a blended beautiful family where each member benefited from the extra love and experiences that brought with it.

Over the pandemic I decided to return to the books and get certified from a top program in Life coaching. I loved the process of life coaching.  It differs from counseling and therapy because it teaches individuals to recognize their own potential, set and execute goals, and answer powerful questions. Life Coaching offers  the opportunity to see and explore the world through a different set of eyes.  I learned quickly that happiness is not dictated by what life throws at you.  How we HANDLE adversity and day to day struggles is what enables us to live happy fulfilling lives.

There are many techniques and tools we must put into our arsenal that can, and will, enable us to view any and every circumstance from a positive perspective. Setting goals and putting them into action is what moves us forward and creates growth and confidence in ourselves.  I help clients go from a “desire” to a “result” in a safe, non-opinionated, confidential, relaxed setting. I show clients how to develop a plan of action with concrete strategies for change. Naturally I still experience the ups and downs of life.  There are days that I feel on top of the world and others where nothing seems to go as desired.  Getting through life and relationships takes work and is a constant battle, I won’t sugar coat it. I am not promising (no one can) that all of your problems will magically disappear: however, I can promise that you will be equipped with all of the tools to handle them.  After learning the techniques used in life coaching, you will view life in a totally different way, that I assure you.
